" I am a optimistic pessimist...I look forward to the worst."

Copyright Lucy Drumonde 2011.

Is your glass empty or half full?
Ever think your negative thoughts go beyond what can be possible?

Philosophical pessimism is the similar but not identical idea that life has a negative value, or that this world is as bad as it could possibly be. It has also been noted by many philosophers that pessimism is not a disposition as the term commonly connotes. Instead, it is a cogent philosophy that directly challenges the notion of progress and what may be considered the faith-based claims of optimism. Courtesy of http://en.wikipedia.org.
Latin pessimus (worst)

Dispositional optimism referred to in in psychology as the best possible outcome in any given situation.
Latin optimum, meaning "best

Cautious optimism.  Allowing a individual to have a bit of hope but not as much that one would  feel sad if your expectation one is hoping for does not happen. It is a happier version of pessimism.
