Nobody told me I was a bad listener.

ADD ( Attention Deficit Disorder) is a diagnostic condition for being impulse ,hyper, and or being distracted.
Many individuals may not be aware that they have ADD. There can be many reasons, medical information have attained it can be a variety of elements; allergies, brain defects, swelling, and one is gifted.
The description is subjective which can lead into confusion.
ADD is believed to be started at a early age from 3 years old to formation into adulthood.
I admit i never heard of Attention Deficit Disorder, until a friend was diagnosed with the disorder.
Often i felt frustrated communicating with my friend, many times struggling to get my point in, and hoping the conversation would not end in a argument.

At times did i feel," Is this person hearing me, or am I not being a good listener.''
Of course ... there is help and information. No one is alone.

Ozone layer or cheese in a can..don't make me choose.

The population is growing every minute, and that means feeding more people.
That also means the quality of food we eat will have an affect on our health.
How does one know if the food they are purchasing is organic or genetically modified.
Just because a label mentions organic, does not mean it is natural.
A label that is naturally organic must have a label mentioning it is certified.
It is up to the consumer to educate themselves ,and to look closely at the labels.
Most foods ought to be produced to important standards depending from which country it is originating from.
Organic food has become a major issue, since there is an importance to know what is in our food.
Are genetically modified foods just as healthy and help feed the world's population.
Companies such as Monsanto are illustrating that they claim to feed the world ,but are bullying farmers and buying their seeds. Meanwhile agree to genetically modify our food system, risking our health in the process.
If we respect our farm producers who grow organic food,we also respect what we eat as well.

So remember to support your local farmers.
I am sure they would be grateful for your support.
Talk to your local M.P or senator in congress and voice your opinion about the importance of certified organic food or sign the Millions Against Monsanto petition.

Daylight Savings Time....Anxiety.

Ever wonder why they have Daylight Savings Time ?

We have a love and hate relationship with Daylight Saving Time.

1. Try to get to bed early
2.Watch what you drink.
3. Get more sun and vitamin D.
4. Excercise a bit earlier during the day.

Benjamin Franklin's quote, " Early to bed, and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise,"

Having daylight Saving Time benefits sports games, retailing businesses, and other activities after dark.
Does create problems for farming, evening entertainment, and other jobs that are tied during the daylight.
The goal was to become more energy conscious and conserve energy.

However way you look at it. Daylight Saving Time is here to stay.
However you manage your day.

Depression..there is hope.

Copyright Lucy Drumonde 2011.

Depression has been  misunderstood by many in past years.
Through more education and awareness, the topic of depression has become more widespread ,and spoken  more about than before.

Having suffered the illness, seeing friends, and a family member i believe that there is hope.
One can recover  through depression with a combination of cognitive therapy and medication.
Scientific research has shown that lacking serotonin  to the brain is part of the problem, and reports can be also linked to improper diet. As well  suffering traumatic situations, suffering severe adversity or having a family history can be immune to developing depression.

Knowing there is hope, one can cope with depression.

There is no shame in admitting having depression or a family member who has suffered with depression.
There is hope for a better today, and a better way to deal with depression.

Why suffer in silence.. its time to stop being misunderstood.
There is hope.

Blame....

 Lucy Drumonde
Blame comes in many formats.
Always our short memory tends to forget what is the actual truth from fiction.
Like passing on the fire before creating the flame.
